Privacy
Assorti counts its own visits, anonymously, to learn which pages are useful. Nothing is sold or shared, and you can opt out.
Audience measurement
It follows the conditions set by the CNIL, the French data protection authority, for audience measurement exempt from consent: it serves this site only and produces only anonymous statistics. It is not combined with other data, not shared with anyone, and does not follow you on other sites.
For each page view, the site records:
- the page’s address and language;
- the site you came from, reduced to its domain name;
- the kind of screen (phone, tablet, computer) and the device and browser family (for example iPhone · Safari);
- the country, worked out by the host. The IP address is never recorded.
To count visitors without counting them twice, the site sets one cookie, __Host-as-v. It holds a random identifier that says nothing about you. It lasts 13 months and is not extended on each visit. Data is deleted after 25 months at most. If you opt out, a second cookie, __Host-as-no, keeps that choice for 13 months. A browser sending the Global Privacy Control signal is never counted.
Reference: CNIL, “Cookies: solutions for audience measurement tools” (in French).
Account
The account is optional: it only keeps colors and combinations in “My palette”. You sign in with Google, which gives us just two things: a stable account identifier and your first name, shown as a nickname. No e-mail address, no photo, no password. Signing in uses two necessary cookies: __Host-as-s (the session, renewed on each visit and closed after six months without one) and __Host-as-o (ten minutes, while you come back from Google).
You can delete your account at any time from “My palette”: the account, its sessions and everything it kept are erased at once. Audience statistics are never linked to an account.
What never leaves your device
Viewfinder photos and camera images are analyzed in your browser and never uploaded. Your CMYK display choice is kept in your browser (local storage).
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. Cloudflare processes technical logs (IP address, browser) to serve and protect the site.
